Course Description

This course is aimed at IT professionals who need the skills to securely install, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot multiple server types in both local and cloud environments.

The course builds upon your pre-existing IT knowledge and allows you to develop a thorough understanding of server architecture, server administration, storage solutions, security, disaster recovery, and more.

Does the course have prerequisites? 

Prior to taking this course, you should have obtained certification in both CompTIA Core A+ and Network+, or have comparable qualifications.

Yes, this course is supported by an online tutor who you will have access to during the course.

What is the exam like on this course?

The CompTIA S+ exam is conducted online and lasts for a total of 90 minutes. The exam comprises of a maximum of 90 questions and the questions are both multiple-choice and performance-based in form. The passing score for the test is 750, out of a possible total of 900.

Do I need specific hardware or software?

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11). 

Although you can use other operating systems to access the course materials, you must use a Windows based operating system for the exam. Linux based operating systems cannot be used for the exam.
