This course is available to all adults over the age of 18 resident in the Republic of Ireland.

Does the course have prerequisites?
Prior to taking this course, you should have obtained certification from our IT Specialist in Python course, or have comparable qualifications.
Does this course have tutor support?
Yes, this course is supported by an online tutor who you will have access to during the course.
What is the exam like on this course?
The CompTIA S+ exam is conducted online and lasts for a total of 90 minutes. The exam comprises of a maximum of 90 questions and the questions are both multiple-choice and performance-based in form. The passing score for the test is 750, out of a possible total of 900.
Do I need specific hardware or software?
You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11).
Although you can use other operating systems to access the course materials, you must use a Windows based operating system for the exam. Linux based operating systems cannot be used for the exam.
