New users will need to create a free account and fill in a short form on FETCH, Ireland's Further Education and Training Hub.

This course operates on a fixed intake basis, with the course beginning on specific dates throughout the year. 

The next course will open for enrolment on 06/05/2024 and will remain open for enrolment until the course begins on 20/05/2024.

Overview

This course is designed for learners who are interested in discovering more about the digital world and learning about introductory IT concepts and terminology. 

The course aims to enhance your confidence in the area of online skills and learning. Taking this course will ensure that you are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake online learning courses with ease. Throughout the course you will be supported by a tutor in weekly live sessions to enhance your learning journey.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Successfully navigate online environments
  • Understand the basics of computer hardware and computer software
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint within the Office 365 suite of programmes

Who can take this course?

This course is available to all adults over the age of 18 resident in the Republic of Ireland.

You can sign up for this course by visiting FETCH, Irelands Further Education and Training Hub. You will have to register for an account before you can begin the course.

You will require access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Microsoft Windows (the most recent version is Windows 11) or MacOS (the most recent version is Sonoma).
