Overview

This online learning skills course is delivered part-time over three weeks. It is suitable for individuals interested in discovering more about the digital world and learning about introductory IT concepts and terminology. The course aims to enhance learners’ confidence in this area and prepare them with the skills and knowledge necessary to undertake eLearning courses successfully.
It is an entry-level course designed for all age groups and experience levels.
The commitment required from the learner is approximately 10 hours over the three weeks.
- Week 1 – Knowledge of Internet Skills
- Week 2 – Understanding of basic computer hardware and software operations
- Week 3 – Office 365 (including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Over the three weeks, there will be weekly online live sessions with an eTutor followed by Q & A sessions. Online support with an eTutor will be available from Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The course will also provide access to interactive learning materials available 24/7.
