Overview

The course provides those who are interested in pursuing a career in database development, web development or computer programming with the necessary skills to develop and maintain relational databases using Oracle Database 12c.

Candidates will learn how to design, create and administer a relational database. They will improve their knowledge of SQL from beginner to intermediate level. SQL is a programming language that is used to store and access information in relational databases.

Candidates will acquire transferable skills, which can be applied to other RDBMS (relational database management systems) such as SQL Server or MySQL.

Successful candidates will be certified by Oracle as an Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (Exam Number: 1Z0-071) and can seek employment opportunities as a database application developer.

The course prerequisite is the Microsoft MTA Database Fundamentals (98-364) exam. Applicants will be asked to upload a copy of their digital badge or e-Certificate (awarded by Microsoft) on enrolment.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • All students should have access to a PC or laptop running a supported version of Windows (e.g Windows 10)Apple/Android devices are not supported and cannot be used for this course.
  • A broadband connection is essential to stream video content.
You require a web browser to view the content and access web platforms.
